Once upon a dream…

Hi, I’m Sarah!

Dreamer,
Experience Designer &
Founder of La Casita de la Magia.

It was during my very first stay in a youth hostel in Guatemala when I was 18, that the idea appeared (or rather the certainty) that one day, I would gather people under one roof. A place where we could share, meals, stories, and build community across borders.

That seed never really left me. It traveled with me through my different solo-journeys in Latin America during my 20’s, grew quieter during the years I followed a more conventional path, and came back to life a few years later, when I began walking my own path of transformation.

In 2023, after experiencing burnout, I felt an urgent need to find myself again. That’s what led me to the Camino de Santiago. Step after step, across more than 900 kilometers, I began to reconnect with my spark, feeling inspired again.

What truly reignited me was not only the walking, but the people. Inspiration came back through the magic of human connection: in the stories shared around a simple meal, in the laughters, in the warmth of a smile exchanged with a stranger. It was also in the beauty of the little things: the sound of footsteps on the path, the colors of nature, the quiet presence of others, that I felt life flowing back into me.

Every time I walked alongside someone, my inner child resurfaced. I would often turn our conversations into a little game, asking the question burning on my lips: What do you dream of? What is one of your deepest desires? ”

I didn't mean the dreams we have during our sleep, but of those longings that live deep inside us, the ones we sometimes forget or push aside. Listening to others share their desires lifted my energy, and in their words, I began to recognize my own forgotten dreams.
Inspiration, I realized, was the missing ingredient in my life. And the Camino sparked it alive again.

Walking myself back to my dream

Of course, returning to Belgium was rough and overwhelming. Back in Brussels, I understood that my journey was only beginning.

That’s when I started slowly letting go of what no longer served me: my apartment, my 9-to-5 job as an employment counselor, the layers of a life that felt safe but didn’t make me feel alive.

In that space of release, as I began to travel and move again, I discovered that movement, travelling and human connexion were my soil.

It was there, in motion, that my creativity flourished, and where the vision of La Casita de la Magia began to expand.

Letting go, letting grow

Following the signs of life, I arrived at Château Coliving in February 2025. At first, I was simply a guest, yet it was there that I brought to life my very first immersive experience, The Journey of a Dream.

That same month, I was offered a six-month contract through the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program (EYE), stepping into the role of Community Facilitator.

This chapter allowed me to weave together all that had shaped me: my years as an employment counselor, where I guided people through transitions, the tools of coaching and personal development I integrated along the way, my passion for community building, and my innate love for play. It confirmed what I already knew deep down: La Casita de la Magia was not just an idea, but something alive, ready to grow.

Guided by signs

I have always loved to play. As a child, I would invent games for myself and others and still, up to this day, I create playful ways to connect, to dream, and to spark imagination.

I see life itself as a game: full of challenges, surprises, and magical moments. That is the spirit I bring into everything I create: poetic audio journeys, creative workshops, playful collective games… and offers like Draw Me a Dream, where I transform people’s deepest desires into illustrated talismans, or the very first pop-up coliving retreat I am preparing, where community and dreams intertwine.

Through these experiences, people are invited to reconnect with their deepest desires, to remember the child within, and to take small but powerful steps toward their dreams, supported by a community that believes in them. Because daring is easier when you’re not alone, and when you’re reminded that joy and play can be the most transformative tools of all.

Life as a game

La Casita de la Magia is already alive: in the stories, the experiences, and the encounters it sparks. And yet, my dream continues to unfold.

One day, it will take the form of a permanent sanctuary surrounded by nature, with wide-open views over the mountains: a place where dreamers from around the world will gather, co-create, and celebrate the magic of life together.

For me, the journey toward that vision is already part of the dream. And that is what I share through La Casita: the reminder that the path itself is magical, that every step is meaningful, and that together, we can bring our deepest desires to life.

The dream that keeps unfolding...
